    Monday

    • Watch video on The Internet: How Search Works together as a class
    • Complete the Activity Guide:  Internet Scavenger Hunt by yourself or with one partner 
      • Log into your school Gmail account (only one person needs to do this if you are working with a partner) 
      • Open the Google Doc linked above and make a copy of it your drive so you can edit it and add answers
      • Use Google and Google Maps to search for the answers
        • #6-8 - copy and paste the image to document - resize if necessary
      • Share the Google doc with me (lantcliff@shepherdschools.net)

          • Complete Step 9 - Underlining
          • Complete Step 10 - Text Alignment
          • Read Step 11 - CSS Text Properties
          • Watch Step 12 - Intro to CSS Step 2
          • Complete Step 13 - Adding a CSS Style Sheet
          • Compete Step 14 - Adding Styles - add at least three styles to your webpage

            Learning Targets:  Students will be able to explain what CSS is and how it can enhance their webpage.  They will be able to apply some CSS styling to change the appearance of text.

            • Log into Code.org
            • We will begin Unit 2:  Lesson 10 Styling Text with CSS together
              • Step 1:  Lesson Overview - we will read over this together
              • Step 2:  Exploration:  Adding Style - we will read over together
              • Step 3:  Video "Into to CSS" - we will watch together
              • Step 4:  Styling Text - will go over together and then you will do it 
              • Step 5:  Styling Text - will go over together and then you will do it


            Tuesday

            Learning Targets:  Students will be able to explain what 

            • Log into Code.org
            • Complete the following:
              • Step 4:  Styling Text - complete this which requires you to turn the heading (H1) to a different color
              • Step 5:  Styling Text - complete this which requires you to use the rule set for the H1 tag to create a rule set for the H3 tag, including changing the color
              • Step 6:  Read together
              • Step 7:  Changing Text Size - complete this which requires you to change the text size of the paragraphs to a larger size and add a rule set to change the rule set for H3 bigger or smaller 
              • Step 8:  Changing the Font - complete this which requires you to change the font family for the paragraph tag and font family for either H1 or H3

              Learning Targets:  Student will be able to add a new page to their existing webpage, upload images, and add content using HTML

                • Log into www.code.org - if you cannot remember your login, see the sub
                • Unit 2 Web Development - Lesson 9 Multi Page Websites
                  • Read Activity 5 - You will be adding one more page to your website, this can be related or unrelated to the current page topic
                  • Complete Activity 6 - Create and name your new page
                  • Complete Activity 7 - Upload any images needed for your new page (you should have at least one) and any images you would like to change or add to the other pages of your webpage
                  • Complete Activity 9 - Create a link from your home page to your new page and a link on your new page to go back home
                  • Complete Activity 10 - Review your webpage and make sure everything looks how you want it so far and that you have at least three total pages to your website
